Impak is a thermoresponsive acrylic resin material, typically supplied as a two-component system (powder + liquid):
1. Powder component:
Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), benzoyl peroxide (initiator, 0.5–2%), pigments, opacifiers, plasticizers, organic/inorganic filler particles, inert anti-caking agents
2. Liquid component:
Methyl methacrylate (MMA) monomer, hydroquinone (inhibitor), plasticizers, cross-linking agents
1. Take accurate full-arch impressions to ensure proper fit
2. Ensure adequate interocclusal space for the appliance
3. Trim the model to create a smooth, rounded border
4. Adapt the material at recommended softening temperature (avoid overheating)
5. Adapt uniformly to cover occlusal/incisal surfaces without excessive thickness
6. Allow to cool completely before trimming and polishing
7. Finish with smooth, rounded edges for patient comfort
