2. Long edentulous spans needing high rigidity

3. Patients with heavy occlusion or bruxism

4. Cross‑arch stabilization and indirect retention

5. Splinting of remaining abutment teeth

6. Good biocompatibility for patients allergic to other metals

Material Composition

Cast metal bar is a cobalt-based ally (most often Co-Cr-Mo)with a standard composition by weight% as following: Co 61%, Cr 27%, Mo 6%,W 5%

Strength Characteristics (MPa)

1. Tensile Strength (UTS): ≥ 650 MPa

2. Yield Strength (0.2% offset): ≥ 450 MPa

3. Elongation: ~8% (low ductility, rigid)
